Oak Haven Resort is a family fishing, camping, hunting and snowmobiling resort and campground, with eleven modern air conditioned cabins, RV sites and tent sites, located near Bemidji, Minnesota, where fishermen can easily access nine different beautiful lakes (Cass Lake Chain of Nine Lakes)...right from our five secluded permanent docks. Those lakes include Cass Lake, Lake Andrusia, Big Wolf Lake, Lake Kitchi, Buck Lake, Pike Bay, Rice Lake, Little Rice Lake and Lake Ose. Fish for Walleye, Musky, Northern Pike, Largemouth Bass, Big Crappies, Perch, Rock Bass and Jumbo Bluegill while surrounded by breathtaking scenery and wildlife on the Cass Lake Chain of Lakes.
We are located in a quiet, harbored area where our boats are more protected from wind and waves. Catch Pike, Bluegill, Sunfish, Rock Bass and Perch right from our docks! For sight seeing....you can take your boat up the scenic, non flooding, crystal clear Headwaters of the Mississippi River, or drive the short distance to Itasca State Park...where you can WALK across the start of the Mississippi River! Come experience this true Northern Wonderland.
Don't worry about ice on the Lakes for the Walleye Opener...our guests land Walleyes within minutes of our docks...and you can launch and fish here when Cass Lake and Leech Lake are froze up! And high winds? Don't be stranded at a resort where the winds are so high you can't even run your boat from the docks. We have our own secluded boat ramp, very much out of the wind compared to most resorts. If you spend anxious moments each spring fussing over ice on the lakes and/or high winds....come to Oak Haven Resort. Come and discover our secluded location, with easy access to NINE different fishing lakes....including Big Wolf Lake (1100 acres), Andrusia Lake (1600 acres), Cass Lake (10,000 acres) and six more. Musky, Walleye, Huge Crappies, 20 inch Largemouth Bass and Bluegills at our near State Record sizes. IMPROVEMENTS UNDERWAY FOR 2010. Work began 11-10-09 to be completed by 5-1-2010.
1. Soft Water is being installed to All Cabins and the Outdoor Shower/Laundry facility.
2. On-Demand Water Heaters are being installed in Cabins 4, 6, 7, 9 and 10. This means an endless supply of hot water...you're not limited to what a tank can hold. Combined with Soft Water, our goal is to bring our guests much better water quality. On-Demand units are already in Cabins 1, 2, 3, 5 and 8.
3. The Big Lodge Building, which holds our indoor heated swimming pool, restaurant, dining room, gift shop and more, will get new roofing, insulation, lots of new windows including many new windows around the heated indoor swimming pool...beautiful new Log Siding and a large new deck.
4. Our Outdoor Heated Swimming Pool is getting a new look. We are sweeping away everything on the surface, expanding the area, adding paver blocks and a chain link fence. Combined with the Safety Drain covers that were installed in both our pools earlier in 2009, guests who enjoy Heated Swimming Pools will really enjoy 2010. Remember that Big Cabin # 11 overlooks the Outdoor Pool. A great place for a family get-together. And now even better in 2010!
As our improvement budget will allow, there will be more improvements done by May 1, 2010...than the four mentioned above. Check THIS SPOT OFTEN to see additional improvements.
Please remember that both of our Heated Swimming Pools are Open from Memorial Day until Labor Day each year.

WINTER MONTHS:
2048 Square Foot Cabin # 11 (5 bedrooms w/eleven beds) is available in the Winter! You won't fine a nicer cabin around here...and remember that Cabin # 11 is so loaded, it even has a washer and dryer. Enjoy cozy in-floor heat, log furniture, 275+ TV channels and so much more. Cabin # 11, built in 2004...is a true gem. Click on "Our Cabins" to see Cabin # 11 inside and out. (Cabin # 11 is currently booked Through December 23, 2009.)

Whether your pleasure is fishing, photography, canoeing, kayaking, bike riding, throwing horseshoes, playing basketball, or maybe relaxing by one of our TWO HEATED SWIMMING POOLS.....(Click on "ENJOY OAK HAVEN" to see pools!) we have what you need for a great vacation. Pools are open from Memorial Day through Labor Day. BOOK EARLY if you are looking to use our pools and want a vacation here in June, July or August. Only Weekly Saturday 4 PM to Saturday 9 AM weekly bookings will be accepted in 2010 from June 5 until August 14. That is our ten week prime season. Your base cabin rate includes use of both heated swimming pools, canoes and paddleboats, basketball, volleyball, horseshoes, foosball, tetherball, Monday night's Hot Dogs and S'Mores, Tuesday Night's Turtle Races and Wednesday morning's Kids Only Pontoon Fishing Trip. There's a whole lot of FREE FUN included in your base weekly cabin rate.
On May 15, 2009....we installed New Stainless Steel Safety Drain Covers in both our heated swimming pools. This upgrade means that both of Oak Haven Resort's swimming pools meet the State of Minnesota's requirements of January 2011. Call now for Cabin Availability and enjoy our pools!

2009 IMPROVEMENTS:
1) New Deck for Cabin #8. New south doorway and door. New Ceiling Fan.
2) New Deck for Cabin #2.
3) A New Kitchen Faucet in Cabin #2. A brand new shower too!
4) Re-built bathroom floor in Cabin #3. A New Kitchen Sink and Faucet in Cabin #3.
5) A New Kitchen Faucet in Cabin #4. Nice repairs to the wall behind the Cabin #4 kitchen sink.
6) A New Kitchen Faucet in Cabin #7.
7) A New MAIN Electrical box was installed 4-28-09 to assure more electrical power to the Resort than ever before.
8) Replaced many decks boards and set all nails on all decks to Cabins #5, #9 & #10.
9) The door to the fish cleaning house now closes and latches. More room, very clean. New baseboards, paint, etc.
10) Replaced the ceiling fan and light fixture in the kitchen in Cabin #10. Replaced the exhaust fan motor in the bathroom in Cabin #10. Painted many inside lower cupboards in Cabin #10.

Our Beautiful Five Bedroom Cabin # 11 is OPEN YEAR ROUND.
Book our newest and largest cabin (2048 sf and 5 bedrooms)....Cabin # 11......during the off season (October through April) at discounted rates. Call and we'll try to make it happen. SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY. Cabin # 11 is your Winter Getaway!! We have Guides available to show you an affordable and exciting ice fishing adventure in heated ice fishing houses!
Improvements in 2007 and 2008 include New Log Siding and new or rebuilt roofs to Eight Cabins, the Fish Cleaning House and the Bait Shack. Electrical upgrades include Air Conditioning to ALL Cabins, GFCI's in the Cabins and more electrical outlets by the docks. We have a new solid 12' x 24' pavilion with two picnic tables by the docks for you to enjoy when the sun is just too hot, or when the rain comes down. Instead of just local TV channels, our 2008 guests will enjoy over 55 channels, which include all the ESPN Channels...WGN (Cubs Games!)...and the NFL Network. There's a new refrigerator in Cabin # 1. New shower plumbing in Cabin # 2. New floor, walls and ceiling in the north bedroom of Cabin # 8. We distributed 16 new bed spreads throughout the resort. Enjoy the new carpet in the gift shop, which doubles as a game room...new for 2008...a putting green with automatic ball return! Our heated outdoor swimming pool (open Memorial Day to Labor Day, weather permitting)...received a new pump and motor. Quality color depth maps of Big Wolf Lake and Lake Andrusia, as well as Cass Lake, will be sold at the Lodge at Oak Haven Resort.

We serve ice cold Budweiser and Bud Light on tap in Frozen Glass Mugs at the Lodge to our Registered Guests Only (from opening day of the Walleye Season until we run out in late September). Try our unforgetable Root Beer Float!....we give you a large frozen mug, a spoon and a straw, several scoops of hand dipped vanilla ice cream....and then we top it off a few times with Sprecher's Tap Root Beer (from Milwaukee, distributed by Budweiser)...until your ice cream is gone!! You'll want to pull up a chair for this one!
GUESTS WHO RENT OUR FISHING BOATS will see that all four boats are equipped with a 28 pound rubber coated self release Navy Anchor & a 50 foot Stearns solid braid "Easy on the Hands" anchor rope. All four rental boats have Mercury outboard motors with Electric Start. All have an electric trolling motor, bilge pump, fish locator and livewell.
WE ARE PROUD TO OFFER YOU A CLEAN RESORT.
We are a No Pets Resort. This means a clean bed, clean furniture, free of pet stains, hair and odors. (And free of pet noises.)
We are a No Littering Resort. Smokers are not exempt from this policy. You won't find Cigarette Butts or trash on our property. This is Common Sense folks...we won't litter on YOUR property...you should never feel its OK to litter on someone else's property. Be strong and do the right thing...properly handle your own personal daily trash and recycling.
We are a No Profanity Resort. (Again we only seek common sense...there are kids here) We ask our Guests to be respectful of all other Guests.
9:00 PM to 9:00 AM is "Quiet Time" at Oak Haven Resort. All of our guests deserve a peaceful vacation. You should be able to go to bed at 9:00 PM, with your windows open, to get up early and go fishing. And you should be able to stay up late, quietly, around a campfire, and be able to sleep until 9:00 AM without slamming doors waking you at 7:00 AM. It's a Beautiful Thing...when everyone is nice to each other.
If you like to scream and holler, spit and cuss, litter and generally be disrespectful of others...please stay at a different resort. If you've had a bad experience at a different resort...come see why so many of our guests say......"I can't believe how clean and quiet it is here!"
Thank You! Please make your cabin reservation months in advance. All eleven cabins were booked for many weeks in 2009 and we are hopeful for even more in 2010.
