Oak Haven Resort is a family fishing, camping and snowmobiling resort and campground, with eleven modern air conditioned cabins, RV sites and tent sites, located near Bemidji, Minnesota, where fisherpersons can easily boat to NINE DIFFERENT BEAUTIFUL LAKES (Cass Lake Chain of Nine Lakes)...right from our five secluded permanent docks. Those lakes include Cass Lake, Lake Andrusia, Big Wolf Lake, Lake Kitchi, Buck Lake, Pike Bay, Rice Lake, Little Rice Lake and Lake Ose. Fish for Walleye, Musky, Northern Pike, Largemouth Bass, Crappies, Perch, Rock Bass and Big Bluegill while surrounded by breathtaking scenery and wildlife on the Cass Lake Chain of Lakes.
We are located in a quiet, harbored area where our boats are more protected from wind and waves. Catch Pike, Bluegill, Sunfish, Rock Bass and Perch right from our docks! For bird watching, sight seeing or fishing....you can take your boat up the scenic, NON FLOODING, SLOW MOVING crystal clear Headwaters of the Mississippi River, or drive the short distance to Itasca State Park...where you can WALK across the start of the Mississippi River! KIDS EVENTS... Click on "ENJOY OAK HAVEN" to read about Kid's events on Monday's, Tuesday's and Wednesday's. KIDS TURTLE RACES, KIDS PONTOON FISHING TRIP AND MORE! All are included in the price of your weekly cabin rental.
LATEST IMPROVEMENTS:
1. Soft Water is being installed to All Cabins and the Outdoor Shower/Laundry Facility. (DONE)
2. Five New On-Demand Water Heaters have been installed. (Cabins 4,6,7,9 and 10...we replaced old gas tank heaters.) This means an endless supply of hot water...you're not limited to what one tank can hold. Combined with Soft Water, our goal is to bring our guests superior water quality. (DONE)
3. The Big Lodge Building, which holds our indoor heated swimming pool, restaurant, dining room, gift shop and more, has some new roofing, insulation, many new windows around the heated indoor swimming pool...new Log Siding and a large new deck. This effort was finished in March, 2010. (DONE) Click on PHOTO GALLERY - then click on 2010 at Oak Haven to see the Lodge that 2010 Guests are now enjoying!
4. Our Outdoor Heated Swimming Pool is getting a new look. Paver blocks and a green chain link fence! Combined with the Safety Drain covers that were installed in both our pools earlier in 2009, guests who enjoy Heated Swimming Pools will really like what they see. (DONE...Unbelievable! Is it the same pool? 2010 Guests are enjoying our outdoor pool more than ever!)
5. Cabin #10....has a Brand New Steel Roof! Cabin #10 will have some other nice repairs....to be finished by May 1, 2010. Cabin #10 has two full bathrooms, plus seven beds in four bedrooms. (DONE)
ALSO....we are adding MORE ICE CREAM FLAVORS! We will carry five or six Ice Cream flavors in 2010 compared to three in the past. (Moose Tracks, Strawberry Cheesecake, Mint Chocolate Chip, Vanilla, Chocolate and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough!) AND....we are adding CHICKEN DRUMMIES and CHICKEN STRIPS to our Restaurant Menu!
Please remember that both of our Heated Swimming Pools are Open from Memorial Day until Labor Day each year.

2048 Square Foot Cabin # 11 (5 bedrooms w/eleven beds) is available in the Fall and Winter! You won't find a nicer cabin around here...and remember that Cabin # 11 is so loaded, it even has a washer and dryer. Enjoy cozy in-floor heat, central air, log furniture, 275+ TV channels, five huge bedrooms, eleven beds and three log futons and so much more. Cabin # 11, built in 2004...is a true gem. BOOK EARLY! Your base cabin rate includes use of both heated swimming pools, canoes and paddleboats, basketball, volleyball, horseshoes, foosball, tetherball, Monday night's Hot Dogs and S'Mores, Tuesday Night's Turtle Races and Wednesday morning's Kids Only Pontoon Fishing Trip. Things you need to bring? Towels! You need to bring your own bath towels, hand towels and wash cloths...and some fishin' towels too! Our cabins are fully loaded with cookware, dinnerware, silverware, coffee pot and filters, micro wave oven...just about everything. Besides towels, bring foil and cling wrap if you need it. You should bring your own charcoal too. Beds are fully made up with clean sheets, blankets and pillows with pillow cases.
On May 15, 2009....we installed New Stainless Steel Safety Drain Covers in both our heated swimming pools. This upgrade means that both of Oak Haven Resort's swimming pools meet the State of Minnesota's requirements of January 2011. Call now for Cabin Availability and enjoy our pools! We have our own boat ramp, bait, 91 octane gas for boats, tackle, gift shop, game room and restaurant, which serves our registered guests only.

2009 IMPROVEMENTS INCLUDED:
A New MAIN Electrical box was installed in April, 2009 to assure more electrical power to the entire Resort than ever before. Cabin # 8 received a new deck, new south door and a new ceiling fan in the living room. Cabin # 8 also received a new stainless steel kitchen sink and faucet, plus a new refrigerator.

NEWS at Oak Haven Resort
Our Beautiful Five Bedroom Cabin # 11 is OPEN YEAR ROUND.
Improvements include New Log Siding and new or rebuilt roofs to Eight Cabins, the Fish Cleaning House and the Bait Shack. Electrical upgrades include Air Conditioning to ALL Cabins, many GFCI's in the Cabins and more electrical outlets by the docks. We have a new 12' x 24' pavilion with two picnic tables by the docks. Enjoy the new carpet in the gift shop, which doubles as a game room. Also enjoy the putting green with automatic ball return!

We serve ice cold Budweiser and Bud Light on tap in Frozen Glass Mugs at the Lodge to our Registered Guests Only (from opening day of the Walleye Season until we run out in late September). Try our unforgetable Root Beer Float!....we give you a large frozen mug, a spoon and a straw, several scoops of hand dipped vanilla ice cream....and then we top it off with Sprecher's Tap Root Beer (from Milwaukee, distributed by Budweiser)...until your ice cream is gone! Pull up a chair for this one!!
RENTAL BOATS: GUESTS WHO RENT OUR FISHING BOATS will see that all four boats are equipped with a 28 pound rubber coated self release Navy Anchor & a 50 foot Stearns solid braid "Easy on the Hands" anchor rope. All four rental boats have Mercury outboard motors with Electric Start. All have an electric trolling motor, bilge pump, fish locator and livewell. Our boats are loaded and ready to go. We don't charge you for each item that you need. Use our life jackets, seat cushions and more at no charge. Click on "OUR RATES" then scroll down to see RENTAL BOAT INFORMATION. (Pictures and Pricing) Some resorts charge extra for each piece of equipment you choose to use on your rental boat....we don't. Our rental boats are LOADED!
WE ARE PROUD TO OFFER YOU A CLEAN RESORT.
No Pets. This means a clean bed, clean furniture, free of pet stains, hair, odor and noises.
No Littering. Smokers are not exempt from this policy.
We ask our Guests not to use profanity. Guests who violate this policy with language that is heard by other guests which may include children, may face fines for each occurance. Please...do not bring foul language to Oak Haven Resort. Thank You.
9:00 PM to 9:00 AM is "Quiet Time". All of our guests deserve a peaceful vacation. You should be able to go to bed at 9:00 PM, with your windows open, to get up early and go fishing. And you should be able to stay up late, quietly, around a campfire, until midnight or later...and then sleep until 9:00 AM without slamming doors waking you at 7:00 AM. Our "No Pets" policy means a dog owner won't leave a barking dog alone to disrupt many others. We ask our guests to respect the vacation goals of other Guests. If you can't be respectful of the grounds and other people, you should stay at a different resort.
